SCFS was established eight years ago. The Idea was to separate sport climbing from mountaineering activity and from rock climbing, which is the main characteristic of IFSC.
SCFS members are the clubs established in the middle 90’s, and some of the most recent ones have a status of associate clubs.

The people who work in clubs have a Sport Academy Diploma, and their priority is work with kids and work on the popularization of sport climbing.
The result of that work are excellent achievements of SCFS Junior team on national and international competitions.

All major cities in Serbia have artificial rocks, both indoors and outdoors.
Hall of Sports in Belgrade has an artificial rock of 150 m2 which is used for all Balkan and international competitions. Some of those are published in IFSC calendar.
In Nis, there is an outdoor artificial rock of 150 m2. PAEK Nis has organized Balkan competition in 1999. and from that moment PAEK Nis is the host of many International competitions, and some of them were from SCFS league.
Another Indoor artificial rock in Nis is in sports hall “CAIR”, which is used for winter time trainings.
Novi Sad has an outdoor artificial rock located on “Strand” and also Boulder GIM located in School of Economy which is used for many National and International competitions.
Subotica also has Boulder GIM and in Summer time there is an outdoor temporary boulder located on “Palic” lake shore. Many climbing promotions and competitions are organized here.

SCFS has established a relationship with Anti-doping Agency of Serbia and Olympic committee of Serbia and expectations are that it will become its member by the end of this year.

The work of SCFS is based on international rules considerig the organization of competitions. It is also dedicated to continuous improvement.

.:: REPORT FROM WORK GROUP MEETING held on 13.04.2008. in Novi Sad

Based on memorandum of accession of clubs from Mountaineering Association of Serbia with recommendation from IFSC and in order to improve development of this sport in Serbia, Sport Climbing Federation of Serbia had organized the Work group meeting with the intention to solve all problems in this field.
Taking in consider one part of the time table in which is emphasized that Mountaineering Association of Serbia and Sport Climbing Federation of Serbia (SPFS) have obligation of forming this kind of work group. Sport Climbing Federation of Serbia set the meeting on 13.04.2008. and all registered clubs in Serbia were invited.
